There were some poets and writers amongst the Jews. And they began writing songs for us. And we'd sing them. And you say, how can you do this, in this, in this inferno? How can you do this in all this? You had to find moments and we did. As a matter of fact, when we survived, one of the interesting things was my mother, who was on the Russian side, came across a man who came from Buchenwald and she said, have you heard of my children? There were two children, and she called them, she called us by our Polish names and the man said there were two children. They used to sing and entertain. And she'd say, no, that's not my children. So I remember that.
