Abstract

This edited program introduces the goals and interviewing process of the archive when it was first established at Yale University. It was first shown at the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors in 1983 to encourage survivors to come forward and give their testimony. It includes excerpts from testimonies as well as interviews with founders Laurel Vlock and Dori Laub, former faculty advisor Geoffrey H. Hartman, and supporters Elie Wiesel and Dr. Erich Goldhagen.
